Wes, originally from a small town in northwest Ohio, developed a deep love for animals early in life, nurtured by his dog-loving family. His bond with dogs began with a Doberman named Sara and grew with rescue dogs Ty and Sparky. Introduced to hunting by his father at age 5,
Wes became passionate about the sport, especially rabbit hunting with beagles. His dedication led him to join the Midwest Beagle Club and participate in field trials.
After graduating high school in 2002, Wes attended the K9 World of Dogs school in Michigan, earning certifications in various canine disciplines. He launched his own dog training business, *aWesDog*. In 2007, he moved to Southeast Georgia to work as a bird dog breeder, trainer, and quail hunting guide. His expertise in genetics and training has produced top-tier hunting dogs. Wes’s strong connection with dogs is evident in the mutual respect shared with his canine companions.
